And yet a majority of parents either don't have time, don't know how, or just don't care. And I really hate to tell you, but Texas HAS been dictating your kid's curriculum through text books. Since Texas is the largest consumer of text books, many publishers used to just tell the other states "This is the textbook" for whatever subject.
