I know Rushmore was put into the Jet database that Access uses. And the VFP cursor technology was adapted for ADO.
>When MS purchased Fox, a frequent talking point was MS wanting to use some of Rushmore for future database efforts.
>
>Rushmore had bitmap index technology, and the Columnstore Index (and Vertipaq, which is making its way across several MS efforts) optimizes high cardinality column values (like foreign keys in a fact table) using some sort of bitmap as well.

>I have no idea if Rushmore wound up playing a part in MS SQL and self-service BI offerings these days, just speculation.
