Deleted records are not removed from any indexes, unless index is filtered with FOR NOT DELETED().

I currently re-use deleted records, but I've seen references that the tags in the CDX file are orphaned for deleted records and can only be recovered by deleting all tags and re-indexing the table. I only use free tables. System was begun nearly 30 years ago, but DBCs were considered but rejected for some reason. This is an inherited application.
