What I read is that if you eat well, you probably don't need a multi-vitamin, but if your eating habits aren't great, it's a good idea. That said, I've been taking a multi-vitamin (as well as a few supplements which I have reason to believe I need or can benefit from) for years and got hit with colds three times this winter. (On multivitamins, I think I started taking them when pregnant-pretty much all pregnant women need to take them-and never stopped, though I've switched formulations over the years.)

I'll point out that in the same period, you moved into a new home. There may have been something you were allergic to in the old one that keep setting off your bronchial stuff.
