>Michel, I'm sure you realize this - SSMS is a desktop application with a user interface - and a job in Agent is part of the Agent Service (working in conjunction in the SQL Server Service).. So even if you close SSMS, the Agent service is still running (unless you go into Services and turn off either Agent or the relational database service)
Yes, it was mostly about getting its status and it is nice a SQL select provides us valuable inforation on job status.
