DBA mentions that Red Gate executes on a daily basis at midnight for a full backup and partially during the day. When this is the case, I can no longer execute this:

ALTER DATABASE MyDatabase ADD FILEGROUP BusinessTime

This is very problematic. This is new as we did not have that structure before.

Any Red Gate specialists how there who can confirm me what has to be done in Red Gate configuration to avoid locking on such items?

Otherwise, please recommend other backup solutions that would not interfere with the good running of our database product.
