Correct, yes, and thank you.

And yes, it is always going to be an issue.

And it wouldn't have mattered if Barack Obama had been Barack Obama or anyone else - having the country's first African American president surely was going to mean many public and private debates on race.

And I've mentioned this before - his famous Father's Day speech in 2008 was powerful and a pleasant surprise - he checked his race at the door and made some comments that needed to be made. But from that point on, he and his administration have used race as a shield and as a sword. The bottom line - putting it down into "human" terms, he turned out to be very immature for the job.
