We recently upgraded to Visual Studio 6.0 SP1. After recompiling our (working) VFP 5 COM dlls, we have a problem releasing the objects in VB 6 (by setting the object variable = Nothing). Our VB object variables are global. When we try to create a new object in VB and assign it to the same variable, we get a fatal VB exception. The code in both VB and VFP is unchanged from VS5. The only thing we've done that makes sense is to convert the VFP dlls to single instancing, but that doesn't improve anything.
Has anyone else experience this?
