>>>>>>I the words "je crois" the 'r' is clearly not pronounced (to my ears). Is this a rule that the 'r' in this position of a word is never pronounced? Or an exception?

>I watched thousands of american movies, I believe in you but sure it's not our "r" like Dragan said. In movies I can understand better (they might speak more clearly or slowly) but in real life with real people it becomes a nightmare.
>In turkish we don't roll up letters. All letters should be say clearly in Istanbul turkish.
But this is about french. Written and spoken language are two different things. :)
Every lang comes with traps for foreigners (germans typically fail on english th while the town Mönchengladbach is a nightmare to the english ones. ö and two ways to speak ch )
Russian comes with a speak as you read style - but then it comes to Ъ and Ь and we are lost.
I know not much about turkish (IOW I can not order a beer) except that we and our turkish neighbors had a lot of fun calling
anne in the backjard ... Because we meant our daughter ...
