People forget that Microsoft has created many things before the competition. In those cases, they were either poorly designed or too early in the market. Examples:
- Windows Mobile. You could use Windows phones long before the iPhone came along. But the iPhone had a much easier to use Ux. That and it was easy to lead the sheeple into buy it.
- Spot watch. Way, way before Apple Watch or other wrist-wearable devices. It was out long before the market was ready. There were Android devices before the AppleWatch, but again, sheeple.
Google and Apple don't have a great track record either. Look at GoogleBandWagon on the Fox Wiki.
How many OpenSource projects were "THE way to do things". Knockout was the way to do things in JavaAcript until Angular came along. I don't hear of any new peojects getting started with Knockout. And even Angular has it's issues with 2.0 being incompatible with prior versions.
>Yes, and I should have designed and built the IPod before Apple did.

>Saying that you'll do something brilliant to solve a problem is not a strategy- it's a wish.
