I don't know a true socialist, but certainly a single-payer, national health care system (which most Americans oppose) would be good example of socialism.

I'll agree that Obama gets painted as a "true socialist" and that's not accurate. But just because he's mischaracterized doesn't make his actions and positions valid.

A perfect example is the absolutely disgraceful and dangerous agreement he just penned with Iran. Some friends of mine and I are writing letters to Washington to urge Congress to get the necessary 2/3rds majority to override this for good. And I am trying very hard to avoid this country vs country bashing that Walter and Nicholas are engaging in, but the fact remains that European countries are desperate to make a deal to lift sanctions against Iran because their economies are in worse shape and they need trade with Iran. The United States does not need to make this deal - but did anyway because (and here the perception is correct) he is trying to turn the U.S. into a European model. You'll have great difficulty convincing me otherwise.
