So Marcia - do you understand why it's just not feasible to expect a young person to have a job and pay their way though college (which in itself is pretty much impossible now) and then actually buy a home in their late 20's? There is no way you could expect someone to be able to pull that off in this day and age. Young people are aware of this situation too - and it's guys like Bernie Sanders that offer a glimmer of hope for them.>
>So what is your solution? To take it away from people who have worked hard all their lives so that they can retire in relative comfort and give it to the people who can't be expected to succeed? If not, what is your solution?
Maybe having everyone pay their fair share - the large corps and people with a billion dollars that don't pay any taxes at all could flip the bill so kids today have free college. Bernie Sanders has a plan for this. And the reason "these people" can't be expected to succeed is because they don't have a snowball's chance in hell with the things the way they are now. Again - I'm not saying it's impossible, just very unlikely.
