I know (the statistics at the bottom of the page). My point is that a media figure praised by some (Chris Hayes at MSNBC) has repeatedly used the information from the top chart in response to the alleged "exaggeration" of the death risk that cops face.

( I will acknowledge that cops die in traffic accidents as well, though again it can be due to illegal behavior from others)

I'm certainly concerned when I see video of cops who are truly behaving inappropriately. The political left has a valid point. And even though there wasn't enough to indict the officer in the Michael Brown case, there's still a very serious question about how police are handling this type of conflict.

But I'm also concerned about a topic that has not received enough attention - the stand-down order given to Baltimore law enforcement that led to millions of dollars in property destruction. The far political left is promoting a view that arson and openly destroying physical property are not "violence" per se.

I think taxi drivers ABSOLUTELY should be able to arm themselves, if they're not able to already.
