As stated previously, you probably want to avoid bitmap fonts as they don't always behave predictably when the DPI setting is different from what you have when you designed the screen.
The unfortunate bit about fonts is that what fonts are installed does tend to vary. The following page lists some of the fonts commonly found in various versions of Windows:. http://www.ampsoft.net/webdesign-l/windows-fonts-by-version.html Given the info above, perhaps selecting Lucida Console might be a decent choice (though no guarantee that it would be installed).
