>Although, the whole "{obnoxious substance} Free!" advertising ploy is quite nasty. You see two different brands of shampoo next to each other on the grocery shelf. One says "Cadmium Free!". Which one will you buy?

Probably neither. I'll buy the one with largest font on the list of ingredients.

That's one of my rules... if I suspect the ingredients and can't read them, I'm probably not buying. Contains aspartame, contains Ennn (and doesn't say by name what it is), is psychologically positioned (at aisle end, at eye level, away from other products of the same kind) - probably suspect or result of arm twisting by the manufacturer/distributor.... May sound paranoid, and may lead to despair (as you come to realize your choices became very limited), but saved me lots of money on things I'd buy and then throw away, plus an unknown amount in medical bills. Of which I invested in this year's supply just two days ago - bought a pack of 20 ibuprofens.

BTW, don't use shampoo at all. Wife makes soap, excellent.
