Here were my reasons for picking the Spectre x360 over the competing models (at least the competing models I could get my hands on)

- Surface Pro.....fewer USB ports. Surface Pro is a very nice product, but seems to be a tablet first and a laptop second. I wanted a (light) laptop first and a tablet second

- Dell XPS - this was a tough call.....XPS is highly recommended. But it doesn't serve as a tablet. Also, I believe the Spectre had more ports/direct device support

- Lenovo - the light Lenovo Yoga series models are VERY VERY sexy. And very light. But the Intel Core M was a deal-killer for me. Core M will not cut it for virtualization. The Lenovo models that had a regular i5 or I7 were actually heavier than the Spectre, but still didn't have the same # of ports.

At the end, it was either a Surface Pro or the Spectre. I have no doubt I would have been happy with a Surface Pro as well, but the Spectre works out perfectly for me.
