>>Seems like a very nice ultrabook.

>>Meanwhile, I'm still very happy with my Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus. The specs seem very similar, but the screen of the Samsung is absolutely awesome.
>>OTOH, the HP spectre has the ability to turn the display to the backside.
>>
>>How is the build? Is it solid? I've seen many ultrabooks that were a bit a to "flexible".

>>What I think is a mistake, is to pretent it is a tablet: It is too heavy for a tablet.

>>I've got an older Samsung NP900 series which is just over 11 mm high and 1Kg, which sometimes even prefer over the ATIV 9 because its lighter and can easily be hold with one hand on the corner, just as you would do with a tablet.
>>
>>For me its ultrabook all the way. I never want to carry around a heavy and clunky laptop with me again. Having SDDs in my ultrabooks makes me wonder how I ever could manage without them.

>I read a review of the Samsung....yes, the reviewer raved about the display. HP's also has a very bright display

>The build on the HP is very solid, IMO. At 3.26 lbs it's heavier than an iPad and even a tad heavier than the competitors. At first I didn't like using it as an iPad. But I found a nice thin leather folio case that makes the "sitting on the couch, reading PDFs or books as a tablet experience" much better.

I got one in my hand today.. I agree it is a nice build. I do not know however if you would choose it over any of the other competing models though.

>The Samsung you got is an i5, 4 GB, correct? I went with the i7, 8 GB HP model...really needed it for my SQL and SharePoint VM. Were it not for needing VMs then an i5 would have been enough for me.

Yes both of them are I5, 4GB. There is a I7, 8Gb flavor, but I had a very good deal on both of them and I do not really need the I7 version. I do not run any VMs on it. I just run SQL server directly on the OS. They do have a full development environment on there, MS office, Vault, CR10 and that is about it. I use them for on the couch and travelling to clients, but 95% o the time I'll behind a desktop to do my work.

>But anyway, for anyone looking at getting something along these lines, the HP will not disappoint. I just did a Win 10 upgrade and it was flawless and seamless.

Great I'll keep it in mind.
