So. Let's stipulate that.
Given that that's the case, why are gun laws enforced more successfully, say, in Switzerland or Sweden, than they are in the US?
Please don't mention Obama or the welfare state. Billy the Kid, Jesse James, John Dillinger and Al Capone were killing people with guns before FDR and Obama ruined the country.
The answer is obvious to me.
There are so many legal guns in the US that's it's virtually impossible to control how they're disposed of.
I can buy as many guns as I want here. I can stock a warehouse with them and no one will ask me what I intend to do with them.
Again, you've shifted the burden of proof and not answered the only meaningful question:
"Why should any civilian citizen be allowed to possess a gun?"
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
