>>Win7 EOL is in 2020, not that far off. Also if you have to test on Win10 you'll need at least a VM, or if you have to test on the Edge browser etc.
As every VFP'er knows, EOL is to be feared. ;-) Most likely we'll install W10 on one of the test machines and use it solely for testing.
As for blocking IP or re-routing addresses: I agree, trivially easy on the PC or router. It might even become a point of difference for free wireless or other providers : "no data slurping while you slurp your Starbucks!" That's not your typical corporate mindset but the opportunity for some legal rebelliousness that does over the Borg will be too difficult to resist in some quarters. ;-)
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
-- Shakespeare: Coriolanus, Act 1, scene 1
