That's a very open-ended question with not many answers. Some things you need to find out...

- Is this a web app? If so, was it created using Web Forms or MVC?
- Is this a desktop app? If so, does it use WinForms or WPF?
- How is the data accessed? If could be ADO.Net, Entity Framework, or even LINQ to SQL.

In addition to Microsoft Virtual Academy, you can look at online training from PluralSight.

>Have been asked by a friend if I could do some *minor* changes on an in house app where they are using SQL server and "some sort" of code written in C # to maintain it. He says there are no big changes needed right now but he wants to line up someone for the future as his current programmer has moved.
