Hi Ashley,
Why not use an editbox directly. You could control its properties + Ctrl+F/G is supported, provided they're available in menu.
On a form you could just resize an editbox on gotfocus and add scrollbar, on lostfocus reset to original size (do not forget zorder(0)).
