I don't buy that.
I am a much better person for having been married. I've been married since 1996. In the course of meeting my wife's family and the extended family and friends, my personal universe got much wider.
I suspect many married people think the same way.
Yes, it's been very tough - some very rocky waters about 9 years ago. But we made it through and have a kid. I'm a better person for being a dad and a husband.
And my daughter will learn the same thing one day - there can be strength in numbers. The "right" kind of numbers.
