I use CrashPlan. I switched from Mozy because Mozy really jacked up their prices.

In addition to the CrashPlan cloud there's the ability to backup to local external USB drives. I have one USB drive that's about 5 or 6 years old and I bought a new bigger one. Rather than disconnect the old one I just added the new one and told CrashPlan to back up to it. So, now I have two local backups to restore from as well as the cloud. It's best to restore locally if possible versus the Cloud which will be much slower.

The final cool part, which I don't use, is where if you have a friend who also has CrashPlan you can locate a device at his/her house and backup there, too. Again, there's a huge advantage to be able to recover from a physical device versus the Cloud. Locating like this off premises would help in case of a big disaster like a house fire where your local external drives get toasted.

As an aside, my machine is running RAID 1 on my data drives.

Bottom line is that I really don't want to lose data. And I'm also using One Drive to store my pictures.
