I did a complete install of VFP6 with the IE4 option on a Win95 machine. I am getting the C0000005 error in VFP and it is my understanding that the DCOM98 will fix at least some of the conditions under which this error occurs.

How can I tell which version of DCOM I am running?

In VFP - System Information - System DLL's I have:

File Version Date Size Loaded Build No.

>Rather than DCOM98, you can download the latest DCOM95 (version 1.2) which contains the updated Win95 DCOM components from Microsoft's Web site - it will provide the DCOM functionality needed for Win95 boxes that you don't intend to load with IE4 (the other simple way to get DCOM support.)
