I believe the problems that I've had with my screen freezing is due to McAfee. It's just a guess, but it doesn't seem to freeze when I turn off McAfee scanning.

I think I read somewhere that one can exclude certain directories within McAfee.
Does anyone know how to do that? I can't seem to find it.
