>>>So you agree with Obama and Marie Harf that we can defeat the terrorists by giving them jobs? ROFL and LOL!!!!

>I think you've chosen a loaded paraphrase. When employment opportunities stepped up in Ireland it didn't stop those already radicalized as seems to be your chosen interpretation. But it did break the cycle. It did reduce recruitment and took bored youths off the streets and gave local communities something they didn't want to lose, which reduced terrorists' ability to hide amongst civilians. After which there were some last gasp psychopath efforts to perpetuate the status quo, followed by resumption of civilized norms.

This makes sense to me. I think getting rid of already-radicalized terrorists is going to be a little different than preventing a new one from emerging. If these people feel like they've been given the short-end of the stick, or are otherwise marginalized, then that drives them right into the hands of an extremist. If there are other opportunities (jobs, education, housing, etc) then these tactics won't work as well because the people have been given a fair shot at life. This is one of those things that idiot Trump and his sheep-herd followers don't seem to grasp. If you listen to what he said about banning on Muslims from the USA...well what does that do? It gives extremist groups like ISIS more credence when they can say ...seeeee now the west and American's feel about you? You've now marginalized a bunch of people and potentially drive them right into the arms of ISIS. It's like Trump is doing exactly what ISIS wants! The fact that so many American's can't seem to figure this out has put me in the position where I'm starting to think that to many American's are really really stupid. Obviously there isn't a 'quick fix' for the terrorist problem, and maybe little or no-fix for the already radicalized - but what we can do is come up with plans to prevent new ones from having a seemingly logical reason (to them anyway) to become a terrorist.
