Andrew was a .NET developer in addition to being a SQL/BI guru for many years. And while my calling card and Lenni's are mostly in the SQL/BI/Data Warehousing realm, we still have our hands in some .NET development and we've both presented at .NET User Groups with cross-over sessions. We have substantial experience as speakers and we have at least some idea of the successful formula of user group leaders, having done a combined 500+ community sessions for dozens of user groups in the last 10 years.
My "take" is that comments and analogies made out of a deficit of information pretty much speak for themselves.
