>Up until Garland was nominated the republican's loved him, and frankly they could do a LOT WORSE than Garland. This is a guy who, up until now, is who the republican's wanted. But since it's Obama that did the nomination - oooh hellll no can't have that. If anything the pick was one that if he's not approved, then the result is the GOP will look like a bunch of jackasses. errrr...will continue to prove that they are bunch of jackasses. Here you've had guys like Orrin Hatch, Jeff Sessions, Chuck Grassley, etc etc etc that were all for the guy before.

I'm aware that Sessions and others had moderately good things to say about Garland. But there's another issue here.

Believe it or not, before Eric Holder took over the DOJ, he won the praise of conservatives and moderates. But during his stint at the DOJ, he committed perjury (not once but twice) while trying to cover for the administration. Holder's treatment of Fox News reporter James Rosen (who himself is a registered Democrat) should have landed Holder in jail.

Janet Napolitano also received some praise from conservatives. But after her time as Secretary of DHS, border/immigration agents found her to be horribly dishonest.

There are others - the point is that there's a history of Obama nominees and corruption.
