You're looking at about $50K/annum tuition if you pay yourself, which would tear a hole even in $250K once the tax man claims his share and that's assuming there's only one kid. Seems you either need to be poor, lower middle class or wealthy to easily attend Ivy League these days. As always the Middle Class gets the worst deal.

Many of the University's spend more money on their athletic department than anything else. Another tidbit of information - who is the highest paid public employee in every state? With the exception of maybe 5 states, it's a college coach. I
