>> Seems it's easier to be poor or rich to easily attend Ivy League these days. The Middle Class gets the worst deal.

Both my children went to "name" schools, but I emphasized to them my notion that it's the person, not the school, who matters.
That was based on my own experience.
I went through a small no-name commuter school on Long Island on the GI bill. Upon graduation I happened to land in a programmer trainee job at a large NYC insurer.
My fellow trainees were all from big name schools including the best Ivy names.
Before long I was managing those who survived the training process with me.
Eventually I was managing all the programmers and no one was asking what school anyone came from.
Many of my fellow vet grads from no-name U had similar experiences.
Anyone who does not go overboard- deserves to.
