Indeed horrible.
The bureaucracy has proven it can do whatever it wants, and get away with it.

Put that together with the asset forfeiture "laws" that have police seizing (and keeping!) cash from citizens with no due process.
They can do whatever they want.

Eminent Domain for "public use" - with Kelo, the Supremes decided "public use" means whatever the government wants it to mean.
Freedom of Religion now means.... nothing.

I could go on and on but this is nothing like the government I was taught about in civics class.
The constitution is being gang-raped in front of our eyes and we just look away.

I have lost hope.
