That's correct. This approach, or documentation, is pretty much as is with or without the usage of the Entity Framework. I do not use it but the documentation and references are pretty much the same.

I also compiled with .NET Framework 4.6 and that did not change anything. I did not mention it in my research. It is only when I forced the Web site to use the older version of the library that it worked, combined with the installation of the related file, of course.
