There is also a NuGet package for the CLR data types, but it looks like the last version was for 2012, so I don't know if it will help. More information can be found at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/adonet/archive/2013/12/09/microsoft-sqlserver-types-nuget-package-spatial-on-azure.aspx.
