Some time ago I had an app that I tried to distribute using setup wizard and it wouldn't work. They're using a lan that only accepts 8 char filenames. I figured I must have missed some type of file that's 8+ characters. So I just zipped it up and everything was fine... didn't thinka bout it for a while.
Last week I had an app to get installed that I KNEW every filename was only 8 char (I'm really careful about that these days). So I run the setup wizard and make the disks and take it down there. I'm installing and I get the same message about only being able to use 8 char filenames and if I want to do that use the /f on the run line to make it work. So I do. And install seems to run fine. Then I look at the files and they've all still got the $ at the end of the extension.
Clues? I would greatly appreciate it since the setup wiz looks sooooo much better than just a zip. Thanks!
