FWIW, the WW have a solid HTTP, SMTP (including TLS support) and FTP client. What's missing is SFTP (will be added in a forthcoming release) and weak implementations of POP3 and raw Sockets.
The Chilkat tools are also good and they work well - I have several customers that use them to fill the holes above (mainly SFTP). The main advantage of the the WW tools is that they are tightly integrated with FoxPro and mostly have high level implementations.

>Agreed that WW stuff "just works". wwSQL with the ado option is worth the entire price of the toolkit if you are doing multi-lingual against SQL Server, for example.

>That said, we've been using Chilkat Controls for FTP/S, SFTP, EMail (TLS w/ StartTLS) and HTTP clients for many years in production. Their error logging (<object>.lasterrortext) records the entire transaction, letting you know just where the error happened. It has saved what is left of our collective derrieres on many occasions.
