In the times we have now of national politics,issues ,campaigns the internet etc doesn't it make more sense to have a national figure elected nationally on a one person one vote basis.

I probably have more in common with someone in Sweden than with someone in Alabama or even southern New Jersey.
We might think that it's a good idea to make those people do things our way, but that kind of thinking is the height of arrogance and it's what got Trump elected.
