Last time I saw it happen, a guy was walking down the street - then stopped and walked a few feet back from where he came to enter a store. 4 cops came in the store and grabbed him and starting going though all this pockets - he started asking WTF is going on and tried to move away - which resulted in him being tackled to the ground, beat up pretty bad - and one of the cops was telling him that now he was being charged with assaulting a police officer. This guy was black - and 3 of the 4 cops where white. This is a more accurate description of what stop and frisk means for a black person. What happened to you is harmless - what happens to others - mmmm not so harmless. One guy I knew up there said he was stopped almost EVERY SINGLE day on his walk home from work and searched. I do not see how this practice can be 'done properly' - especially seeing how it violates our constitutional rights to begin with.
