Uhhhm, not so sure here. I have been wondering a lot on the reasons of the Trump TV exposure and his running for office.

It seems that in the last dozen years or so a lot of his new biz was around licensing his name: only danger is that the project is unable to pay agreed upon licensing terms or that too many failed/troubled projects tarnish the Trump name/reputation (in biz at least...)

As Trump grows older, this might be his retirement plan: hiking the name recognition, thereby the licensing cost/percentage plus increasing the pool of interested project owners. Could easily be a high multiple of the ludicrous amount of money made from speeches typically done by retired prez'.

If his ego can be controlled enough only to aim at single office period (less danger of encountering opposition from Senate and House, more things done per year in office), it might increase the worth of his name (as in payed out in the following years) to a large degree, even without factoring in current real estate holdings plus deals missed in the office holding years.

Not even sure if selling his name via company controlled by siblings at fixed, pre-calculated terms would create a conflict of inetrest forbidden by US rules.
