Unfortunately, the labor force rate remains a significant concern. And since the Labor Dept acknowledges that more people over 55 are working than ever before, we continue to have alarming labor force rates for demographic areas that weren't as much of an issue before the recession. Translation: we continue to be a weak recovery and the Ds have failed.

Look, I have mixed feelings about Trump and what just happened with the Carrier deal. But at least I give the President credit for trying "something" to help American workers directly, which is more than I can say for the Obama administration. As for the comment about, "If Obama had tried that"...well, show me an effort that went directly towards U.S. workers and I'll comment.

Obama's stimulus was a joke at the federal level, and he even tried to make a joke about how badly he failed on the "shovel-ready jobs". The funding to green companies in distress was nothing but a failed political payout. Obama has demonstrated a complete disdain for lower-middle class workers (you know, the ones who "cling to their bibles and their guns") and has focused on areas that increase political power at the national level - evidenced this week by the administration putting pressure for Cuba deals with GE and Google that will go into the wallets of the Cuban government and certainly not Cuban citizens. But that's all Obama has ever cared about - increasing the size of leftist governments.
