First of all, I do not trust any statistics released by the government. However, in one of the links that you posted it said this:

Interesting. The all time high for the labor force participation rate was BEFORE Obama took office. Also, averages do not impress me much. The labor force participation rate now is the lowest that it has been since after world war II.
