That doesn't happen. To be more specific, virtually every abortion after 20 weeks or so is because either the baby has already died or has a serious condition which would lead it to die soon after birth, or because the mother's health is in danger. When the latter happens after the baby is actually viable, the baby is delivered, not aborted.

If you actually want to learn about this, there have been a lot of good pieces since the debate where Trump mentioned it. Be forewarned: most of the stories are heart-breaking. Here's one article to get you started:
