>>The point is did he do it because he was criticised and I wouldn't count it out.

In that case isn't it Newsspeak to describe the situation as "Trump choosing to pick on a particular business" as if he spontaneously launched an attack. It's not as if he's one of those baiters going into a religious bakery or pizzeria to try to cause a furor, he's counter-punching.

>>He shots from the hip and if something annoys him he responds.

Awful. What sort of human being would do that? ;-) Seriously- some people would regard it as "honesty" or even a "real person" rather than a faked-up trumped-up politician spouting sanitized soundbites.

>> You can't have it both ways . Either its a completely new game or not.

Calling a spade a spade: if a CEO or business attacks Trump, they should expect a response in kind. Can't handle a response in kind? Then don't start something you can't finish. Seems to me that this makes everything very straight forward.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
