I already know that you are a rabid labor supporter and hate anything that is Tory, but I think that you are over-simplifying the industrial decline of the UK. True, Thatcher was an open market capitalist and so reversed Heath's decision to nationalize companies like Rolls Royce but that was just a small detail in the process. Labor also had a huge roll in killing manufacturing in the UK:
