Using third party DATABASE sacrifices the SPEED either because the rushmore engine is built on the native VFP file architecture and not on the commands. My opinion is that, and it's obvious, MS is focusing on making VFP to be the middle tier in an n-tier Client/Server applications. The problem then is that, some clients can not afford extra bucks for C/S because of economic constraints specifically on small or medium scale businesses.
