I have a lot of apps running and that is the only one behaving like this. So, I am assuming this is local to the app itself as to how it behaves in such mode. We'll see with upcoming versions as to know if this will be enhanced.
You could temporarily adjust some settings, and test by manually putting the laptop to sleep. That would at least pinpoint whether it's local to the app or whether a Windows sleep setting is causing it.
