>>TV shows like Walking Dead drive me nuts.

Recently departed Au Pair from California was a big fan of WD and had me participating in Monday evening WD sessions (Monday in NZ being Sunday in the Land of the Free.) Currently looking at the WD calendar she gave me for Christmas. Oops, still on January. Fixed. The February Zombie is a real stunner.

IMHO the show's salad days were the first episodes when the main cast met up and appeared in every show. Not so impressed by latest series- impressive gore doesn't make up for a tired repetitive drawn-out storyline. Gosh, thugs preying on a town of good people. Who would have thunk it.

I'm assuming you saw the 1978 classic Dawn of the Dead? Worth digging out if not. Also the first few episodes of WD as you figure out what is going on, are quite interesting.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us.
"
