It struck me that there are a lot of similarities between what they're doing, and making major upgrades to legacy software.
Some people (including some clients) don't grasp concepts easily from printed words/reports etc. If you need to illustrate what it's like to make major upgrades to legacy software, you can point them to these videos ;)
