>To me, it's as if you signed up for a contract to provide service for a year with Obama promising his legislation will not take this from you. At the end of your contract, the employer says thanks, we're done here. Some people then call Obama a liar because the contract wasn't extended in perpetuity.

>During the ACA grandfather period that was extended twice: it was insurer decision not to renew policies as they expired, and physician/insurer decision to end participation. The ACA did set minimum coverage- but since most of the worst plans were annual contracts with no roll-over provision, technically all of the pre-ACA policies were completed in full before the insurer decided not to renew, blaming Obamacare in some cases. Call it sophistry if you like- but Obama didn't really need to apologize because literally, his position is arguable if the grandfather period was long enough that hardly any grandfathered policies remained. You could argue that he must have known that lay interpretation would not match this technical argument- but this isn't about Trump so it's not proper to assign the worst possible motive to a POTUS.

We've been over this before. :)

Had Obama made the promise once or twice, it would have been one thing.

But he made the promise over three dozen times, often with a "Let me be clear....if you like your doctor/plan". The sheer number of times in a public setting and the bold but simple message are a compelling context. The evidence of sheer dishonesty is overwhelming. Our mutual UT friend (TCH) made that point perfectly clear to you back in late 2013. :)
