I have not used it; have only looked at it. But my impression is that it will compile the native project to a EXE file that is not p-code based but machine based. So it is fairly easy to start to use. There are compiler directives and this could be a bit daunting - I am not sure that there is good documentation on these or when to use them. Also there are other enhancements such as inline c code which is optional so it could be skipped. I also think that there are 'fixes' to VFP bugs that the compiler takes care of (I also think that you can apply some directly to VFP.EXE).
If it is only a replacement of VFP's native compiler then the only true benefits are that you cannot decompile the code and the bug fixes. I am not sure that 64-bit would be a direction to go. You would have to also have 64-bit active-x components and I am not sure if it extends the 2G file size limit. Without overcoming the 2G file size limit I don't think 64-bit is really needed; just my 2-cents on this...
