>>So you don't care about plants or animals, the water we drink or the air we breath, think it's ok to give a 30+ year sentence to a 18 year old first time drug offender, don't think we should educate our population or take care of or sick citizens, take rights and healthcare away from millions of women and want to victimize poor immigrants. Wow dude - that kinds of says a lot about what type of person you are don't you think??? I just don't get it.

>Victor, I don't always agree with Bill, but I respect his viewpoints because he brings arguments to the table. Reasonable people can disagree on specific arguments - for instance, I see the issue with Hussein and the Kurds (and Hussein's violations of the sanctions that were eroding) very differently than he does. Though I certainly understand his view about the way the war was fought and managed.

>But what Bill doesn't do is cite every ACLU-style bleeding-heart canard that a vote for Trump is a vote to stomp out the rights of citizens, take health care away from millions of women

>I don't think an 18 year old who smokes a few joints should do 30 years (and I'll ask you to quote an instance where such a case would result in 30 years). Having said that, I have no problem with (figuratively) smacking an 18 year old around...and smacking him/her around damn good...for smoking grass. Weed is increasingly dangerous and there's nothing wrong with keeping teens on the straight edge.

There are zillions of examples of people serving more than 10 years for having a tiny amount of pot - there are even non-violent offenders LIFE with parole for nothing other than pot. But aside from that - look at what Jeff Sessions has done in regards to sentencing guidelines. He's reversed previous guidance under the Obama administration, directing prosecutors to pursue the 'most serious, readily provable offense.' and back at it with the mandatory minimums. Do you understand what that's going to cause? Even Bill Clinton has admitted all that was a mistake - but this moron is so far behind the times he doesn't get it. Plus this guy wants the for-profit prisons back in full swing - a horrible practice that the last administration was trying to get away from using. You think someone with 35grams of weed needs to serve 10 years in prison? That's the law in Missouri and it's worse in other states.

You can't actually think that these policies Sessons is implementing is a good thing or is actually going to help society in any way whatsoever can you?
